Meet the Founder:
Amber Ara Choudhury-Kaye
I’m Amber, the 25-year-old founder of Ara Eco Design and a British businesswoman. Ara Eco Design is a sourcing business helping companies discover distinctive, handcrafted products created through slow-made and heritage craft techniques. I source meaningful homeware, gifts and bespoke creations—including our signature Book of Love—while celebrating traditional skills, thoughtful design and products made to be treasured.
Eco-Friendly.
All the products sourced and designed taken into account the impact on the environment. I’ve been working for over 10 years to understand how global supply chain works and to deliver best practice where possible to minimise the damage to the planet.
Sustainable.
It’s very important that we source natural or renewable supplies. Where possible this includes certified FSC Wood, as well as are the materials such as paper, jute that are minimising their impact on critical issues such as deforestation.
Artisans.
Ara Eco Design is a solo female run business and why we work also with sole traders across the developing world. In order to mentor, Train and Help boost wages as well as create jobs for impoverished artisans and their families.
Luxury
We defined this as a slow, rare, handcrafted process. Using ancient or natural heritage elements such as wood, brass, tin or textiles woven on wooden looms. Without ever compromising on style, and design.
